The Effects of Symbols In Tobias Wolffs Say YesThe author of the mindless story Say Yes, Tobias Wolff, uses a number of symbolsto express his different views on racism throughout the story. Wolff uses this literarydevice to express a nitty-gritty to his readers. Symbols, something representing somethingelse by association resemblance or convention, are used expeditiously in this short story. Wolff uses colors to symbolize a hatred for an ersatz race in this short story.
